The ‘Windows Phone fangirls’ rap video….a DISASTER!! LoL!!!

I was surfing the net as usual and stumbled across a rather petrifying YouTube video…so the rest is as follows;

I hate to subject you to this. But there comes a time in which a train wreck is impossible to not stare at. And I have a locomotive collision for you.

It’s no secret that I find Windows Phone and iOS and Andriod (especially Android :p) to be, far and away, the best mobile platforms. Even though I hold that view, I have some damn dignity about myself, at least enough that I’m not going to rhapsodise my love of the three smartphone lines in song.

You see where this is going. A collection of women, the self-described ‘Windows Phone fangirls’ have put together a ‘rap’ ‘video’ about Windows Phone. It is every bit as horrifying as you might anticipate. Start the clock, now that the video is picking up traction, it is only a matter of time until it is taken down. Also, to whoever wrote the lyrics, please stop, PLEASEEEEE!!!!!.

Sleek on the outside…windows on d inside….Mstchewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!

As the title says, we hope that this is either self-effacing parody, or some odd shot at astroturfing. Sound off in the comments, what do you think?

6th Grade iPhone App Developer

Thomas Suarez is in the 6th grade at a middle school in the South Bay. And while most of his peers are probably fussing over new soccer kleets or watching the Disney channel, he’s creating iOS apps and giving TED Talks.

Suarez, who’s not even old enough to have a Facebook account, has been fascinated by computers and technology since before kindergarten. He’s established his own company, CarrotCorp and has made two iOS apps that are currently in the App Store: Earth Fortune, which displays different colors of Earth depending on what your fortune is and his most successful- Bustin Jieber, a Whac-a-Mole for Justin Bieber.

“A lot of kids these days like to play games, but now they want to make them,” he says. “And it’s difficult because not many kids know where to go to find out how to make a program…And not many parents have written apps.” Suarez, inspired by Steve Jobs, started an App Club at school where any student can come to learn to design an app. In the future, Suarez wants to create more apps, more games and get into Android programming and development. He plans on continuing his app club and find other ways for students to share knowledge with others.

Knowing that human beings such as Suarez exist makes me really hopeful and excited for the future.

Play an enormous game of Angry Birds on the world’s largest Android tablet [Ojoro!!!]

If even 10″ tablets are too small for you, then this comparatively gargantuan 65″ slate may suit your taste better. Developed by Istanbul-based company Ardic, what could be the world’s largest Android tablet is a touchscreen high-definition LCD with support for basic gestures like scrolling and pinch and zoom. The LCD isn’t a full-fledged tablet, however — it still needs to be controlled by a dock-connected 10″ Honeycomb slate made possible by modifying Android to support 1080p high-definition output.

Once connected to the smaller tablet, the 65″ giant works like any other Honeycomb device out there, including the capacity to play games like Fruit Slice as the developer demonstrates on the video above. Right now, the display can only recognize two-finger input but Ardic plans to incorporate multi-touch input soon. While it still depends on another device to work, the gigantic tablet has features akin to other slates on the market like front and rear cameras, a microSD card slot, and even 3G and wifi internet connectivity.

As Engadget puts it, this isn’t just another crazy prototype. The company is marketing the product as an alternative to touch-enabled interactive white boards called Smart Boards, and is already in talks with some customers from the education and business sectors.

The Touch Wars…

It just seems like yesterday when it was a case of if you had a Nokia 3310 or a Samsung R220 (popularly referred to as blue face) mobile phones, you were “da bomb!”. But waking up and smelling the freshly brewed coffee, times have long changed. Nowadays touch devices rule the gadget-place, whether for efizzy or productive functionality.

iPhone 4Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Reloaded

Market leaders for this sector remain Apple (iPhones,iPads) and Samsung Mobile (Galaxy S II | Galaxy Tabs 7.0″ & 10.1″), with a host of other touch device manufacturers out there. It’s literally now commonplace to see people with touch devices albeit all most of them might do with the devices is a maximum of placing and taking a call with some exceptions of SMS messaging. No jokes! You will be shocked!!!
